Object: IC 10 - Irregular galaxy, magnitude 10.4, distance 2.2 Mly - 2017-09-22Discovered by: Lewis Swift in 1887 Note: IC 10 is found in the constellation of Cassiopeia and is a member of the Local Group. The galaxy has a giant hydrogen gas cloud that is larger than the galaxy itself. IC 10 is heading towards the Milky Way with a speed around 350 km/s.
